Lately I have started noticing a grinding or whirring type sound when making turns at slow speeds, I can't hear the sound at faster speeds. The sound almost feels like the differential of old diesel trucks/vans. I think the sound is mor pronounced when making a sharp, 90 degree, turn, not so much on slight turns.

Its like a dry rubbing noise under the steering column. No grinding or binding, just like something isn't properly lubed. Happens both right and left turns on semi extreme turning (pulling into a parking spot, ect), normal street driving its perfectly quiet. Has only 145 miles, happened since day one one week ago.
